Local roots
Four decades of Bountiful doors.
Bountiful was one of the first places settled in Utah, back in 1847, and its houses tell that story: older brick homes near Main Street, post-war ramblers and split-levels through the middle of town, and larger homes climbing the east bench toward Bountiful Boulevard.
We’ve been working on those doors since 1982. Original locksets in mid-century homes wear out, deadbolts added a generation ago get stiff, and lately plenty of families are swapping keys for keypads as they renovate.
Being based here means most Bountiful jobs don’t involve a freeway at all. Whether you’re in Val Verda, around Five Points or up the hill near the temple, we’re close by.
Around town
Calls we get from Bountiful.
Keys locked in the car
At the Mueller Park trailhead after a hike, in a lot along Main Street, or outside a Bountiful High or Viewmont game. We meet you at the car.
Rekeying after a move
Homes here often pass from longtime owners to new families. Rekeying on move-in day means decades of handed-out keys stop working at once.
Older locks that stick
A knob that has to be jiggled, a deadbolt that only turns with the door pulled tight. Often a cleaning and adjustment fixes it; when it doesn’t, we replace it to match.
Basement apartments
Many Bountiful homes have a downstairs unit with its own entrance. We rekey between renters and key the unit separately so the main house stays private.
Keypad and smart locks
Kids walking home from school, grandparents dropping by to help. A code on the door beats a key under the mat.
Local businesses
Shops and offices on Main Street and along 500 South call us for rekeys after staff changes and for after-hours lockouts.

Bountiful questions
From our neighbors.
Are you actually based in Bountiful?
Yes. Andy’s Lock & Key has been a Bountiful business since 1982. We’re fully mobile, so there’s no storefront to visit; we come to your home, car or business.
Do you cover all of Bountiful, including the bench?
Every part of town, from the west side along I-15 to the homes at the top of the bench, and Val Verda at the south end.
Can you match the hardware on an older home?
Often, yes. We can find locks in finishes that match your existing hardware and key them to the key you already carry, so a replacement doesn’t mean a new key ring.
